What sort of things do you learn in guitar lessons?

im pretty good at the guitar i can play some good songs like jimmy hendrix little wing and heaps of strumming songs but is it possible to get really good without lessons. My mum said i cant have any because shes too broke apparently i learnt heaps from my uncle but he doesnt live in my town anymore so what do you learn in lessons that i can just look up on the internet?
